January 26 is a very auspicious occasion for all the Indians of this country. On every January 26, people from across the country celebrate Republic Day with great enthusiasm. It is a day to remember, when India’s constitution came into force on January 26, 1950, completing the country’s transition toward becoming an independent republic.
We at Eastern Public School celebrated the 71st Republic Day with patriotic fervor.
The event started with national anthem followed by a beautiful poem by Tuba Khalid which reminded us all about our responsibilities towards our motherland. The patriotism was in the air.
Grade 8A girls also presented a mesmerising Hindi Tarana. The event concluded with the speech by Head of the School Javed Khan which made us realise the importance of our deeds and the strength to stand with right and the courage to take action against wrong.
Addressing the students and teachers, HOS emphasised on the importance of education. He signed off wishing everyone happy Republic Day. The event concluded with distribution of sweets.
