Eastern Public School, Bhopal organized a summer camp for the students to learn new skills in a safe and nurturing environment. The duration of the camp was from 29 April 2023 to 03 June 2023 for the entire summer vacation (every Saturday). Around 60 students registered and participated in various sports and games activities.
During the summer camp students participated in many indoor and outdoor activities like swimming, taekwondo martial arts, basketball, carrom, table tennis, football, fitness activities, ball control activities, tug of war etc.
The students were trained under the supervision of experienced and qualified physical education, martial arts and swimming experts (including female swimming teacher).
Participating in sports activities is important for children because it reduces stress and improves their mood. Sports build healthy bones and muscles, increase fitness, improve sleep, and help them to socialize. It also improves their cooperation skills, boosts self-confidence and reduces the risk of obesity.
The objective of this summer camp is to provide an opportunity to the students to participate in sports and fitness activities by utilizing the summer break time and to help them display their skills in a fun environment and to teach students to work as a team and strengthen the sportsmanship spirit.
