Grade 10 students organised a Self-defence workshop

Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives (GP) encourages learners to think about and explore solutions to significant global issues. As part of the GP Team project, on 19th November 2022, grade 10 students (Bushra Saud, Hania Syed Khalid and Imra Aftab) in association with Rana’s Academy of Martial Arts and Self-Defence organized a self-defence workshop at Spark Public School. Nowadays, girls must be equipped with the necessary self-defence skills as violence against girls is increasing. The aim of the workshop was to educate teenage girls about the importance of self-defence and teach them basic self-defence techniques. Girl students from classes 7 to 9, participated in the event. The workshop was successfully led by Mr. Vajendr, Ms. Kavita and other team members. Finally at the end of the workshop, participants were awarded certificates of participation and gift hampers.
