The ‘Hour of Code’

The ‘Hour of Code’ began as an hour-long coding challenge to give students an interesting and enjoyable introduction to Computer Science and for schools to put the spotlight on computer science programs and expand opportunities. With a huge groundswell of support and attention, it has become a celebrated global learning and awareness event that takes place every year during CS Education Week, in the first week of December.

This was the first time EPS students participated and it proved to be a great learning platform and experience for them. Middle schoolers participated online and created a Flappy Game whereas DP students, on campus, learned about one of the oldest encryption techniques- the Caesar Cipher.
