Amna Jabeen

Grade Level Coordinator – Grade 4 Home Room Teacher, Eastern Public School

Ms. Amna Jabeen originates from Lahore, Pakistan, and has been living in India for the past sixteen years. She completed her Graduation in Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics from Punjab University in 1997. Following that she completed a two years long Postgraduate Teaching Training Course from Ali Institute, Lahore where she focused on content knowledge and teaching skills to become an effective teacher rather than just taking up the profession. Her research was on “How does good handwriting affect the learning of a student”.

She started her career in 1999 at LACAS (Lahore College of Arts and Sciences). While being in service she organized many school events and had been taking part in many teaching-related short courses like Classroom Management, Phonology, Effective Grammar Teaching, and Child Psychology other than being a part of SPELT (Society of Pakistan English Language Teachers). In 2003, she joined Resource Academia School.

After getting Indian Citizenship in 2017 and completing all necessary formalities, she strived to continue her passion again. She joined EPS in 2019 as a Grade 4 Home Room Teacher. Being part of an IB School opened the door to a new world of learning. Attending the PD sessions, workshops, and job alike sessions gave a unique taste of understanding and expertise. She is presently working as a Grade 4 HRT as well as Grade Level Coordinator at EPS. Ms. Amna is eager to provide all students with a solid educational foundation. She has the talent for bringing the classroom to life with real-world examples and the ability for discovering students’ varying learning styles, ensuring each student’s unique academic needs are met. Watching children learn and grow is a very rewarding experience and a key motivation and a fundamental reason why she enjoys teaching.
