Grade Level Coordinator-Year 1 PYP Homeroom Teacher Grade 1, Eastern Public School

A master’s in Statistics from Barkatullah University Bhopal. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) and CTET certification from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). She started her career in 2015 as a kindergarten teacher in a prestigious International school in Bhopal and the same year joined Eastern Public School as a PYP homeroom teacher. Since 2017 she has been working as a homeroom teacher in Grade 1 and holds an overall teaching experience of 6 years in IB. Currently, she is working as a Grade Level Coordinator in Grade 1. She loves the emphasis on international-mindedness and inquiry-based learning, which she believes enables students to become resilient life-long learners.

During her 6 years of teaching career, she has trained many new-to-PYP interns. She has led the core group team “Teaching and Learning” in the recent PYP Evaluation. She enjoys keeping up to date with the latest technological innovations in teaching and learning and shares her expertise with the teacher community in the school. She was a part of the “Brain-Based Learning” project based on Multiple Intelligences. She has been mentoring the PYP exhibition for the past 4 years and has led in-school teacher training sessions for PYP teachers on tech tools and classroom management. Recently she got an opportunity to facilitate sessions on ATL skills and Language development in PYP for the North India Nepal Network of PYP Schools.

She is a design thinking enthusiast who tries to incorporate innovative strategies to make learning authentic for primary students and to empower them to be problem solvers.
