  Ethics

All societies have ethical guidelines for their followers. So does Islam. The difference between Islam and others is that the former has a distinctive benchmark of accountability on The Day of Judgment. Without accepting and living this concept of accountability, one cannot be a Muslim. On failing this benchmark, we are promised extremely severe and graphically explained punishments in Qur’an. This categorical approach compels us to lead an ethical life and makes those of us who are practicing Muslims exemplary human beings.

The Islamic characteristics of ethics namely truthfulness; honesty; integrity; generosity; versatility, courage; compassion; selflessness; respect for parents, elders, neighbors (Muslim or non-Muslim) and divergent views are drawn from the Holy Qur'an and the practice of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Linked with each of these traits is promised either reward or retribution on the Day of Judgment. Along with the IB program, we work hard to instill the above values and more into EPSites so that instead of getting marginalized, they play their due role in nation building. With the above traits, they should be able to add true value to our society and the nation.
