Our children are the future of our society and our nation. It is our moral and national responsibility to ensure their success in this temporary life and the eternal life (Akhira’h). We must strive for their professional and moral development to groom them into professionals of exceptional caliber and practicing Muslims.
Society is changing at a rapid pace because of scientific and technological advancements. To face the challenges it poses, our kids must equip themselves not only with modern education on a cutting-edge methodology, but also with Islamic values. Proper co-ordination of these two aspects of education is essential for the development of a dynamic and healthy society. In the absence of which we come across such terrifying examples of crimes as doctors trading infants, senior police officials involved in cold-blooded murders, etc. Graver is the problem of rising child and teenage crimes to the extent that students sexually assault and even murder their teachers and their classmates. This is the result of schools generally failing in instilling ethical values in their students.
The other extreme has institutions providing only religious education where students remain segregated from the rest of the society and the changes occurring therein. The result is that people educated through this system very rarely have the courage and confidence to face the current challenges of life.
